Important News Regarding High Call Volumes

Dear Member/Owner:

On June 1, Shenandoah Valley Electric Cooperative grew from 38,881 to 90,050 member/owners, or an increase of 132 percent.  With the recent addition of 51,169 more members, we have been experiencing high call volumes, and longer-than-usual wait times have resulted.  We ask that you have patience during this transition period.  Rest assured that when your call is answered, you will be greeted by a friendly member of our SVEC team who is ready to assist you and do what is necessary to answer your query.  We don’t anticipate that these wait times will become the usual, but will shorten in the future.

We understand that you, our member/owners, might have questions, and we want to be able to answer them all, to the fullest extent possible.  By taking this personal, customer-service-first approach, SVEC personnel spends as much time as necessary with each individual caller that contacts us.  We want to hear your concerns, answer your questions, and help you in any way possible.
